En la calle Colon del barrio de Malasaña, viniendo de la calle fuencarral y tomando a la izquierd justo despues del mercado de fuenca, podran encontrar la bodega de la ardosa, un pequeño bar con una identidad algo confusa, esta entre un irish pub (se sirven pintas y guinnes) y un tipico bar madrileño de antaño, con azulejos y unos cuantos carteles con toda la comida y sugerencias. Las mesas son barrilles y en verano estan abiertos los ventanales a la calle, asi que nunca sabras si estas adentro o afuera.
Este sitio lo conozco desde mis primeros años en madrid, y en el además de tomar unas cervezas muy bien servidas, se toma un vermuth de grifo excelente. Pero las estrellas de este sitio son sus raciones, empezando por el salmorejo y la mojama, de los mejores de madrid, las croquetas y y le cecina de leon. La musica muy buena, buen jazz, que lo hace un sitio muy agradable.

In Colon street in the Malasaña neighborhood, walking up from Fuencarral street and turning left right after the Fuencarral Market, you’ll find the Bodega de la Ardosa, a little bar with a rather confusing identity, Irish pub (they pour pints and Guinness) mixed with the typical old-school madrilean bar with colorful tiles and a few posters on the wall with all the food they serve. The tables are made out of old barrels and in summer the huge windows overlooking the street are open so you’ll never know if you are sitting inside or outside.
I’ve known this place since I first got here and besides drinking a perfectly poured cold beer you can also drink an excellent “vermuth de grifo” or tap vermouth. The real stars of the place are the raciones. Starting from the salmorejo and mojama (the best in Madrid), the croquettes and the cecina from Leon.
The music is quite good. Good jazz, which makes the place really pleasant.
You have to visit it!
